This July an official representative of Cambridge Assessment Center Daryna Sizhuk visited our training center. She has aquatinted with our team, KNUCEA infrastructure including 4 media classes equipped with modern e-learning devices and STVteam platform with SmartEnglishOnline training complex. We had fruitful discussion concerning the problems of modern language online training with presenting our experience in their solving. It was agreed to establish e-training center for organizing training and FCE exam for Cambridge English: First on the bases of STVteam platform and infrastructure. It was also discussed the prospects of research collaboration concerning: 1) self-management and self-evaluation of FCE e-training process; 2) developing productive speech interactive practices and testing (writing and speaking) within FCE e-training and e-exam online; 3) speech skills automation based on smart simulations, scrolling exercisers and memorizing techniques within FCE e-training process; 4) developing Grammar e-training on the bases of internal mechanisms of human thinking, speech and memory. We have received valuable advices based on Daryna’s experience and competence and agreed for regular communication.

This June our best students have passed FCE exam. Two months before exam a special selection of the candidates were organized in the form of competition. STVteam experts jury have chosen 15 candidates among 50 participants. Those who won joined the training course aimed at intensive preparation for FCE exam in accordance with individual needs on the bases of SEO original innovative techniques. In addition face to face speaking sessions in the form of round table discussions were organized. The candidates had permanent contact with their individual expert tutors. They also received help in the exam official procedure issues and all of them successfully passed the exam. After exam special feedback session with the candidates were organized. They answered the questionnaire for sharing their experience with the following candidates and for improving the pedagogical issues presented under the rubric “Lessons that we have learnt”. As a whole the candidates liked this challenging experience and expressed their impressions in English in video clips for CamBliss site.
This May our experts visited Cambridge University. Living in Kings College they had a unique opportunity of multicultural and multidisciplinary communication with Cambridge professors an students, BBC Reporters and members of British government. As a result of their work in Cambridge library they have developed database of the latest publications in language e-learning online including 52 items. They had meetings with prominent Cambridge scientists who are old partners in a range of international projects and members of OmniBase network. Cambridge experts agreed to participate as members of the editorial board of UA science metric Journal devoted to the issues of innovative education technologies. They also were kind enough to be involved as native speakers into SmartEnglishOnline training. Our experts contacted Cambridge Assessment Center officers to discuss collaboration in education, research and publication issues. They also filmed video clips with Cambridge professors and students opinion concerning learning languages online for CamBliss site. The results of the visit are planned to be realized as training, research, publication and dissemination deliverables.
